Death Valley - More fun than you'd guess!

If you've heard of Death Valley, it may be for the fact that it holds the record for the hottest temperature ever recorded on earth.  You may have images float through your mind like skulls and bleached bones scattered across a barren desert, with heat waves rippling up from the ground.

OK, OK...  So you wouldn't be entirely wrong if that's what you're thinking.  It is HOT!!  VERY HOT!!  And there are plenty of unfortunate people, cattle and horses who have died trying to cross that valley.

But there's a lot of cool stuff in Death Valley, too.  There are great reasons why you want to go here - fascinating rock formations, unique geological features, abandoned mines and ghost towns, and some sights you'll never see anywhere else on earth.
